Viking is introducing six new itineraries in Asia, offering exclusive access to Japan and China, including Tibet (Xizang) in 2025, according to a press release.

These voyages, ranging from 15 to 22 days, will visit destinations such as Shanghai, Beijing, Xi’an, Lhasa and Osaka. The itineraries focus on rare destinations and ports in China that only Viking accesses, providing immersive experiences, lectures and regionally inspired cuisine, the company said.

Now available for booking, the itineraries will run from September to November 2025 aboard the Viking Yi Dun, the former Viking Sun.

“We are proud to open our second season of these unique itineraries featuring exploration of the China coast—something that is entirely exclusive to Viking,” said Torstein Hagen, chairman and CEO of Viking. “For centuries, these phenomenal destinations in Asia have inspired travelers with ancient history and rich culture. Our guests are curious travelers who travel as a way to broaden their minds, and we look forward to introducing more of Asia to them in 2025.”
