Resorts World Cruises is launching two-night cruises from Singapore to Melaka and Kuala Lumpur aboard the Genting Dream starting November 10, 2024, according to a press release.

Guests will enjoy extended port times of 10 to 12 hours in Melaka, with plenty of opportunities to explore before continuing to Kuala Lumpur.

The Genting Dream will dock near Melaka city, where guests can visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site known for Dutch Square’s red colonial buildings and Jonker Street’s shopping and dining.

“Resorts World Cruises is delighted to add Melaka as one of our latest destinations and homeports, which will further contribute towards the success of the state’s ‘Visit Melaka 2024’ campaign and the development of the cruise tourism sector in Melaka. With a total of 52 calls a year, the Genting Dream will bring up to 200,000 passengers to Melaka annually”, said Michael Goh, president of Resorts World Cruises.

“The Melaka state government is pleased to welcome the collaboration with Resorts World Cruises through its cruise ship, Genting Dream, which has chosen Melaka as its new destination. With an average of 200,000 passengers per year, this will contribute to the increase in tourist numbers during Visit Melaka 2024, thus boosting the economic growth of Melaka. I hope that, with this new attraction, Melaka will become the top-of-mind and preferred tourist destination,” said Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh, the Chief Minister of Melaka.

Travelers can embark every other Monday from Melaka via the ICQS Complex, combining their Melaka stay with the three-night Melaka-Singapore-Penang-Kuala Lumpur (via Port Klang) cruise.
