MSC Cruises is cancelling a 21-night cruise to Greenland that was scheduled to sail onboard the MSC Poesia on June 28, 2025.

“We regret to inform you that due to operational reasons affecting the deployment of the MSC Poesia, your cruise has been canceled,” the company said in a statement sent to booked guests.

“We understand that this may cause inconvenience and we sincerely apologize for the disappointment this may cause,” MSC Cruises added.

Sailing from Copenhagen, Denmark, the three-week itinerary was set to visit eight destinations in Iceland, Greenland, Scotland and Germany.

Ports of call included Akureyri, Reykjavik, Nuuk, Qaqortoq and Invergordon, as well as Warnemunde – where guests were also able to embark on June 29, 2025.

According to the statement, affected guests are being offered two options, including the possibility of changing their reservation to any other MSC cruise currently available for sale.

The request will be subject to current promotions, live pricing and cabin availability, MSC explained, with any payment made for the canceled cruise being transferred to the new one.

Passengers are also able to cancel their booking for free and receive a full refund of the fare paid, the company added.

After offering similar itineraries in 2023 and 2024, the MSC Poesia is not scheduled to return to Greenland.

Spending the summer in Northern Europe, the 2,550-guest vessel is set to offer a series of seven-night cruises to the Baltic Sea and Scandinavia in 2025.

Sailing from Germany and Denmark, the itineraries include destinations in Poland, Sweden, Lithuania, Latvia and more.

Before repositioning to the Mediterranean, the ship also offers week-long cruises to the Norwegian Fjords that visit Oslo, Stavanger, Haugesund and more.

Starting in October, the Poesia offers ten- and 11-night cruises to the Mediterranean and the Canary Islands.
