The Fincantieri Foundation, in collaboration with the Center for Advanced Defense Studies (CASD), has established a research scholarship in honor of President Claudio Graziano, according to a press release.

This initiative aims to commemorate his dedication to the nation, the Armed Forces and European institutions.

The scholarship will be awarded to outstanding Ph.D. graduates from CASD who excel in their studies on defense and security, with a special emphasis on maritime defense, underwater operations and the defense industry.

“Through this initiative,” said Pierroberto Folgiero, CEO and general manager of Fincantieri. “We wanted to honor the memory of our President Claudio Graziano by continuing to keep alive his passion for training and his systemic vision of the geopolitical landscape and the defense industry, through the research and projects that the scholarship will support.”

The project will also involve organizing joint events, workshops and seminars to encourage dialogue and knowledge exchange between experts and young researchers. This aims to integrate academic and defense research fields and honor General Claudio Graziano’s legacy.
