Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines unveiled a selection of fly-cruise sailings from Newcastle in 2025 on the Balmoral.
Setting sail from the Port of Tyne in September 2025, the itinerary features five cruises ranging from 12 to 52 nights in the Mediterranean, including return flights to the UK.
Clare Ward, director of product and customer services at Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, said: “We’re really proud to be offering Mediterranean fly-cruising setting sail from Newcastle next year, with return flights to Manchester or London.
“Our fly-cruise options offer a variety of journeys to some of the Mediterranean’s most inspiring destinations, where guests can really maximize their time for exploring ashore and immerse themselves in the local way of living.
“Among the itineraries, guests will have chances to visit the captivating La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, cruise along the spectacular Makarska Riviera in Croatia, see the stunning Hagia Sophia mosque in Istanbul and witness the domed houses in Santorini.”
Onboard, guests can look forward to activities, including opportunities to sample authentic flavors from the destinations they will visit such as Jerez sherry, limoncello and Turkish tea.
