CLIA UK & Ireland has revealed that more than half of available places for its 2019 conference have been booked.
The event, which will take place from 15-17 May in Southampton next year, includes a chance to visit two of the three ships in port for the event – Celebrity Cruises’ newest ship, Celebrity Edge, Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 and MSC Preziosa.
It also features a trade fair, a full-day of conference sessions with speakers from inside and outside the industry, and a gala dinner with entertainment.
Andy Harmer, CLIA UK & Ireland director, said: “Registration has only just opened for the CLIA conference next year and we are delighted to see that over half of the tickets have already been sold.
“We’re thrilled to be able to offer CLIA member travel agents the opportunity to visit such wonderful ships and encourage agents to book early to ensure they can visit the ship of their choice.”
Early bookers get the chance to choose the ship they visit on Wednesday 15 May. Both the conference and evening events will be held at new venues.
The final day, 17 May, will be held onboard Queen Mary 2, and will include a special closing conference session.
Further details of the venues, theme and speakers will be announced shortly.
