G Adventures has added a fifth yacht to its fleet of chartered vessels for the Galapagos Islands.
The 16-passenger Eden will join the four other touring vessels in January 2019, following drydock this autumn.
Eden will have six different itineraries around the islands, ranging from seven to 17 days, helping G Adventures to meet increasing demand.
According to the company, there was a 22 per cent increase in bookings of its marine-based tours through the Galapagos between 2016 and 2017. All of its yacht departures were fully sold between August 2017 to July 2018.
Eden, built in 1996, offers three upper deck, twin-share cabins with bunk beds, one main deck double bed cabin, and four lower deck twin-share cabins, as well as a two-level, wrap around deck with outdoor lounge area and sundeck.
“We are continuing to see increased demand from our travellers looking to experience the Galapagos Islands and the addition of the Eden marks an exciting development for us to be able to meet this demand,” said Brian Young, managing director at G Adventures.
The seven-day Galapagos North & Central Islands Aboard the Eden tour starts from £2,079pp, excluding flights. It is open for booking for agents and travellers.
