Emerald Cruises’ first luxury superyacht, Emerald Azzurra, will depart on its maiden voyage in two months’ time.
The ship – which completed sea trials back in November 2021 – will depart from Aqaba, Jordan, on The Best of the Red Sea itinerary on 11 March 2022.
The eight-day voyage will call at ports in Egypt and Israel. Prices start from £3,625pp.
Following its maiden voyage, Emerald Azzurra will sail a second itinerary in the Red Sea ahead of its spring and summer season sailing in the Mediterranean and the Adriatic coast.
Emerald Azzurra consists of 50 deluxe suites and staterooms, of which more than 80 per cent feature a balcony.
The ship will carry a maximum of 100 guests to ports and harbours “only accessible to small yachts”, Emerald Cruises said.
On board, the ship will feature a marina platform designed for easy access to watersport activities, an infinity-style pool on the top deck, and a wellness centre.
A second superyacht, Emerald Sakara, is expected to join the fleet in 2023.
Speaking in October 2021, Emerald Cruises global director of brand & marketing David Winterton said: “Just like we did eight years ago on the rivers, we are bringing our own style of innovative and contemporary cruising to the world’s celebrated oceans, and we cannot wait to welcome guests on board our two superyachts to explore some of the world’s most incredible regions with them.”
