Saga has revealed a selection of 2022 itineraries across its ocean and river cruise ships.
Ocean vessels Spirit of Discovery and Spirit of Adventure are set to undertake 46 cruises between them.
Meanwhile, the line’s two new river ships – Spirit of the Rhine and Spirit of the Danube – will operate 91 itineraries in total.
There are also 55 chartered river cruises available for guests in 2022.
As for ocean voyages, highlights include an 18-night Spitzbergen’s Arctic Landscape itinerary, departing Southampton on 22 July 2022 and travelling across the Arctic Circle to discover the landscapes of Norway’s Svalbard archipelago under the light of the Midnight Sun.
Spirit of Adventure will also depart Southampton on a 22-night cruise to Croatia and the cities of the central Mediterranean on 6 August 2022.
Spirit of Discovery will undertake a 17-night Baltic cruise, stopping in ports such as Kemi, Finland; Visby, Sweden, and Skagen, Denmark.
In May, July and August, Spirit of the Danube will travel through Hungary, Slovakia, Austria and Germany, including the small village of Oberammergau, for guests to experience the Passion Play.
In addition, Spirit of the Rhine will take guests to the Floriade Expo event in the Netherlands in summer 2022.
Saga Cruises CEO Nigel Blanks said: “Our guests are experienced travellers and we know they’re looking for opportunities to explore new destinations and try new things.
“We’ve built a cruising schedule for 2022 that caters to their interests, including some really unique options, from little known Croatian islands, to access to cultural events that only take place once every 10 years.
“Even the firm favourites such as Norway, the Caribbean and the Mediterranean have unique excursions from dog-sledding and ice hotels, to whale and bird watching, to sea-bed trekking and cooking dinner from the heat of a volcano. After all, experience is everything.”
