APT has released its 2022/23 Asia river cruise programme, visiting Vietnam and Cambodia, sailing on new ships Mekong Serenity and RV Apsara.

The 88-guest Mekong Serenity will embark on two itineraries, a 15-day Vietnam and Cambodia Highlights, and 19-day Vietnam and Cambodia Discovery, both operating from July 2022 to March 2023.

This comes after APT released its 2023 Europe river cruise programme earlier in the year.

The Vietnam and Cambodia voyage will depart from Ho Chi Minh City, sailing to Siem Reap, and will include a Vietnamese cooking class.

Meanwhile, the 19-day cruise will depart from Hanoi, sailing to Siem Reap. Guests will able to see a traditional Buddhist blessing ceremony at a monastery in Oudong and sunrise in Angkor Wat.

Dining options on Mekong Serenity include the Horizon Bar & Grill, and the Indochine restaurant, which will serve an authentic taste of Vietnam with a special five-course menu.

APT’s essential river cruise brand, Travelmarvel, also has a new ship, RV Apsara. Previously part of the APT fleet, the 108-guest ship will sail two itineraries – a 14-day Essential Vietnam and Cambodia voyage, and an 18-day Discover Vietnam and Cambodia cruise.

The itineraries will operate from July 2022 to March 2023.

APT managing director Paul Melinis said: “As the number one river cruise line in Asia by volume, the Mekong is a key destination for APT and our agent partners, so we are thrilled to announce our return to Vietnam and Cambodia in 2022 and 2023.

“Having amazing new ships from both the APT and Travelmarvel brands gives the trade something new and fresh to talk to their customers about.

“Our sales team has been busy working on supportive sales assets, so agents can reach out to our head of sales, Jessica Shelton-Agar, and her team for any help in promoting this amazing new product.”
