Princess Cruises has released a first look video of the newest ship to join the fleet, Enchanted Princess.
The 3,660-guest ship – equipped with the line’s MedallionClass technology – embarked on its inaugural cruise to the Caribbean earlier this month (November 2021). It will operate a total of 15, 10-night itineraries from Fort Lauderdale.
Enchanted Princess will then head to Europe in April 2022 to sail a series of Scandinavian voyages from Copenhagen.
A naming ceremony will be broadcast on 13 December across Princess Cruises’ social media channels and official website, with more details to follow soon, the line said.
Princess Cruises vice-president UK & Europe Tony Roberts said: “The reopening of US borders to fully vaccinated UK travellers means that UK guests can be some of the first to experience our newest ship in the fleet, while also enjoying some winter sun in the Caribbean.
“Those who prefer to stay closer to home can also look forward to experiencing this beautiful ship, with Enchanted Princess offering Scandinavian itineraries from springtime next year.”
The new ship – which “offers an elevation of style and elegance”, the line said – features Sky Suites, 25 bars and restaurants, four swimming pools and original production shows.
It also includes signature Princess venues and amenities, including the Piazza, Lotus Spa, The Sanctuary, Movies Under the Stars, Princess Live! Café, a Vegas-style casino, and more.
Princess Cruises president John Padgett added: “Introducing our newest ship – Enchanted Princess – is a significant milestone for Princess and we look forward to the first guests experiencing all this gorgeous ship has to offer.
“Enchanted Princess is our seventh ship to enter service since the global pause, signifying our successful path forward, with many loyal and new guests ready to sail with us and our teammates ready to deliver meaningful and memorable holidays at an incredible value.”
