Emerald Cruises is to welcome a second luxury superyacht to the fleet.
The line said that Emerald Sakara is expected to celebrate its inaugural departure in 2023. Emerald has also added the Seychelles to its list of destinations.
Following its maiden voyage through the Seychelles’ Indian Ocean islands, Emerald Sakara will join sister ship Emerald Azzurra in sailing the Mediterranean, Adriatic, Red and Black Seas.
Construction is underway in Ha Long City, Vietnam, with the steel already cut, the line said.
Emerald Sakara will have balconies in 88 per cent of cabins and more space per guest than similar vessels of her size in the Reflections Restaurant and Horizon Bar & Lounge.
Guests will also be able to enjoy an infinity pool, a spa, gym and marina platform, with a number of marina toys available, such as paddleboards and snorkelling equipment.
Bookings for Emerald Sakara are on sale now.
Emerald Cruises global director of brand & marketing David Winterton said: “We’ve received enormous interest in yacht cruising since announcing the launch of Emerald Azzurra, and we’re thrilled to be able to announce the construction of our second luxury superyacht, Emerald Sakara. ‘Sakara’ is a Sanskrit word, meaning ‘thoughts become things’.
“We feel that this idea wonderfully represents Emerald Cruises’ promise of helping our guests to take their dreams of experiencing unique cultures, exotic climates and stunning terrains, and turning them into tangible reality.
“Just like we did eight years ago on the rivers, we are bringing our own style of innovative and contemporary cruising to the world’s celebrated oceans, and we cannot wait to welcome guests on board our two superyachts to explore some of the world’s most incredible regions with them.”
Emerald Azzurra is due to commence sailing on 28 January 2022 with its eight-day Best of the Red Sea itinerary.
