Royal Caribbean International has launched a new instant booking bonus for travel agent partners across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Partners will be gifted up to $200 (in local currency) for all new, fully deposited bookings made during September for 2022 cruise departures.

The line is also encouraging consumers to redeem their Future Cruise Certificates with £100 to spend on board. The booking bonus is in addition to earned base commissions.

Royal Caribbean International vice-president of Europe, the Middle East and Africa Ben Bouldin said: “It’s been an undeniably difficult time for the travel sector, but we are seeing more and more people booking holidays as the months progress.

“Cruising is back – and while our fleet steadily continues returning to service, this is just one of the ways we can show our valued trade partners how important they are to our business and thank them for being by our side as we make our global comeback.”

The instant booking bonus forms part of additional support Royal Caribbean has launched to assist travel agents during the pandemic.

The line is expected to launch more incentives over the coming months.

Royal Caribbean recently extended its UK cruise season with departures through to October 2021.

Anthem of the Seas will be sailing across the British Isles. All crew and guests 18 and older have to be fully vaccinated to travel as well as providing a negative Covid-19 test result.

Bouldin said at the time: “We are thrilled with the response to our Royal Caribbean holidays from the UK. Since recommencing sailings in early July, our British Isles itineraries have achieved peak guest satisfaction levels.

Royal Caribbean has been operating five and seven-night cruises since July 2021. The line has announced plans to have every ship back in service by spring 2022.

The line has itineraries to more than 270 destinations in 72 countries on six continents and has been at sea for more than 50 years.
