Celebrity Cruises has enhanced its Celebrity Rewards programme to give travel agents the option to choose a gift for their clients or themselves.

The line said the launch is a “first of its kind initiative in the cruise industry”, and follows feedback from travel partners who want to “treat their clients”.

Celebrity Cruises said the initiative will “help to enrich agent relationships with their clients and the brand”.

Celebrity Cruises head of sales Nicola McNeish added: “We have listened to our amazing agents and partners, and the elevated Celebrity Rewards programme echoes their feedback, incorporating the option to give back to the clients.

“The support of our agents, particularly over the past 18 months, has been incredible and we hope the new Rewards scheme demonstrates that Celebrity Cruises is all about treating them and their valued clients.”

To send a gift to clients, agents can choose the preferred present from a catalogue and complete an online form. Gifts include champagne, cakes, chocolates and soft toys for younger clients.

In addition, there is the option to add a personalised message to accompany the gift.

Alternatively, travel agents can choose to redeem points directly onto their Rewards Mastercard or choose from a range of items such as gift vouchers and electronics.

Celebrity Cruises also recently announced a £25,000 giveaway for travel agents.

Agents need to make as many new Celebrity bookings as they can between 6 September and 12 November 2021 across any of the line’s ships to be in with a chance of winning.

A total of 100 winners will receive 25,000 points to redeem as £250 and on their Celebrity Rewards Mastercard.

The line has also revised the opening hours for its contact centre, which is now open on Monday to Friday between 9am and 8pm, Saturdays between 9am and 6pm, and Sundays between 10am and 5pm.
