CLIA UK & Ireland has announced a range of trade-specific cruise events taking place next month.

The association’s annual CLIA Cruise Week will run from 20-24 September.

All members will have access to a new guide containing updates and factsheets with key information on cruise lines and their fleets, including existing ships and those soon to launch.

In addition, CLIA will publish a series of guest articles in its newsletter and on its website – cruising.org.

Contributors will share feedback from their experiences of domestic sailings and insight into what the trade can look forward to in the coming months.

Cruise lines and members of the CLIA team will take the campaign on the road across the month, visiting trade partners, while social media will also form a key part of the campaign.

The association will also arrange a small number of ship visits, with exclusive and limited places for member travel agents.

Full details of how to apply will be available shortly on CLIA’s official website.

CLIA UK & Ireland managing director Andy Harmer said: “With cruise ships sailing again both in the UK and overseas, the trade support on offer via CLIA Cruise Week and our activity across the month of September is particularly timely.

“We are calling on everyone in the cruise industry to take part throughout the month – whether that’s sharing their favourite cruise memories, joining us on a ship visit or simply brushing up on the latest information, as we look to continue the positive momentum.”

New CLIA UK & Ireland chair Ben Bouldin recently told Cruise Trade News that the trade would form a fundamental part of his plans, stating he would be “laser-focused on providing support to the industry where it is needed”.

Travel agents are being encouraged to join the conversation by using the hashtag #CLIACruiseWeek.
