Oceania Cruises has resumed operations after a pause of 524 days.

The line’s Marina departed from Copenhagen on 29 August, and will visit ports in Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Finland, prior to concluding in Stockholm.

The ship will spend the remainder of the summer and autumn in Europe, the Mediterranean, and the Greek Isles, before setting sail for Miami in December.

Oceania Cruises president and CEO Bob Binder said: “Today is one of those days we will all remember for a lifetime as we reunite with our shipboard families and our guests to start exploring the world once again.”

Other ships in the Oceania fleet will restart cruising over the coming months.

Riviera will resume sailing in the Greek Isles on 18 October 2021, and Insignia from Miami on 21 December 2021, to kick off the line’s six-month Around the World in 180 Days voyage.

In addition, Sirena will begin operations in the Caribbean on 21 January 2022, and Regatta will start sailing on 5 February 2022 in Polynesia, followed by Nautica in the Mediterranean on 1 April 2022.

All Oceania sailings are operating with a requirement that 100 per cent of guests and crew are vaccinated.

The line also has a health and safety programme, known as SailSAFE, that “creates multiple layers of protection against Covid-19”, Oceania said.
