AmaWaterways has released its 2020 preview brochure featuring two new itineraries, more land extensions and an expanded programme for AmaMagna. Those booking early will benefit from savings of up to £1,500 per couple.
“We are thrilled to be able to offer our guests even more choice for 2020. Our goal is to consistently offer the best range of cruises on offer and I have no doubt that the new additions will prove popular. The new product will of course be under-pinned by our unparalleled service, award winning fine dining, luxury accommodation and continued focus on offering wellness activities both on-board and on shore”, commented managing director Stuart Perl.
Only a year after her launch, AmaMagna will cruise new waters, heading to the lower Danube for four selected departures. The ship’s seven-night Gems of Southeast Europe itinerary takes in Budapest, Hungary and Giurgiu, Romania. The itinerary passes through Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania, with stops at fascinating sites such as the ethereal Belogradchik Rocks and the UNESCO-designated Rock-Hewn Churches of Ivanovo.
Additionally, AmaMagna will join other ships in the fleet in offering the 14-night Grand Danube cruise between Vilshofen, Germany and Giurgui, Romania travelling to seven countries and offering scenic views through the Iron Gates between Serbia and Romania.
Measuring twice the width of a traditional European river cruise ship, the luxurious AmaMagna allows for added personal space in the large suites (the majority measuring 355 sqft) and offers four tempting dining venues, including Al Fresco, Jimmy’s Wine Bar, The Chef’s Table and the main restaurant. In addition, there are enticing new amenities, such as the expansive Zen Wellness Studio and the innovative water sports platform, complete with the sundowner vessel for complimentary tours of the Danube.
Prices for the new AmaMagna itineraries start from £2,754 per person for the Gems of Southeast Europe cruise from Budapest to Giurgiu, departing 10 May 2020.
In addition, AmaWaterways will offer two new and enriching itineraries on-board AmaDante. The seven-night Treasures of the Main & Rhine, sailing from Nuremberg to Amsterdam, will take guests past storybook scenery and iconic landmarks, as well as through the locks of the Main-Danube Canal. This new itinerary will be packaged with an optional three-night, pre-cruise land programme in Prague.
Meanwhile, the new Vineyards of the Rhine & Moselle itinerary on board AmaDante from Amsterdam to Luxemburg allows guests to add a two-night stay in Amsterdam before embarking on a seven-night cruise through the UNESCO-designated Rhine and vineyard-clad Moselle valleys. Other scenic stops include the charming villages of Rüdesheim, Cochem and Bernkastel before ending the cruise with an optional three-night extension in Paris.
