Costa Cruises announced in a press release that it has updated its pricing structure for North American travelers, renaming its fare rates to “Cruise Only” and “Cruise Plus Drinks” to simplify the booking process.

The “Cruise Only” fare includes non-specialty dining, entertainment, daily activities, taxes and fees, allowing guests to purchase beverages separately. The “Cruise Plus Drinks” fare includes all the same benefits plus a beverage package for a more inclusive experience.

“By putting our rates into these two categories, we’re aiming to make the booking process even easier, presenting them in a way so that our guests have an immediate and clear picture of what is included in their cruise,” said LaDonna Allen, head of sales for Costa Cruises North America.

“The new rates are simple so guests just need to decide if they want to pay for drinks as they go or have a dedicated package so they don’t have to think about that cost along the way.”

With the “Cruise Plus Drinks” fare, in addition to the benefits of the “Cruise Only” rate, guests will enjoy the “My Drinks” package, which includes a selection of wines, cocktails, beers, spirits, cappuccino, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, juices, soft drinks and two half-liter bottles of San Benedetto mineral water per cabin each day.

Guests can choose “Cruise Only” or “Cruise Plus Drinks”  when booking interior, oceanview, or balcony cabins.
