This morning at the shareholders Capital Markets Day the company’s group colleagues issued this at the end of a financial statement to shareholders:
“Given an aging Marella Cruises fleet, we are currently exploring future options on positioning our highly profitable UK market leading business, including re-fleeting. We are in discussions for 2 vessels with new build slots tentatively available from FY31 onwards.“
Marella has always operate with secondhand ships, with its current five-ship fleet including the 1995-built Discovery 2 and Explorer 2, the 1996-built Explorer and Discovery and the 1997-built Voyager.
