Celebrity Cruises is removing a series of visits to Labadee from itineraries that are scheduled to depart between April 2025 and April 2026.
According to statements sent to booked guests, the cancellations affect at least ten cruises onboard the Celebrity Apex and the Celebrity Beyond.
“To provide you with a better experience, we have made the decision to cancel our visit to Labadee, Haiti,” Celebrity said in one of the letters.
“Instead, we’ll visit Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM,” the company continued.
Impacted sailings include eight cruises onboard the Celebrity Apex, with departures scheduled between December 2025 and April 2026.
Onboard the Celebrity Beyond, Celebrity removed visits to Labadee from two itineraries departing in April and August 2025.
While most of the affected itineraries are replacing the private destination with a visit to Grand Turk, others are set to visit George Town, Grand Cayman.
Sailing to the Western Caribbean, these cruises will also feature an additional visit to Cozumel, Mexico.
The vessels were also set to visit the Haitian port as part of week-long cruises to the Eastern Caribbean, which feature visits to ports like Perfect Day at CocoCay and Puerto Plata.
After several months out of the company’s itineraries due to safety concerns in Haiti, Labadee returned to Royal Caribbean International in October 2024.
The company is currently making regular visits to the destination with several ships, including the Explorer of the Seas, the Adventure of the Seas and the Voyager of the Seas.
In April, Labadee is also set to receive Oasis-class vessels, such as the Oasis of the Seas and the Symphony of the Seas.
With recent cancellations, most of Celebrity’s previously scheduled visits to the Haitian port have now been removed.
Previously, in June 2024, the company had already cancelled visits to Labadee onboard the Celebrity Apex during the 2024-25 winter season.
