TUI Cruises’ new Mein Schiff Relax kicked off its maiden season in the Western Mediterranean earlier this month.
After being delivered by the Fincantieri shipyard in February, the LNG-powered ship embarked on its inaugural cruise on Mar. 16, 2025.
The seven-night voyage sailed from Barcelona and Palma de Mallorca to destinations in Spain and Italy, such as Valencia, Civitavecchia and La Spezia.
Continuing its maiden season, the Mein Schiff Relax is set to offer additional week-long itineraries in the Mediterranean that also visit destinations in France, including Cannes and Marseille.
The deployment features eight- to ten-night cruises to Morocco, Portugal and Spain as well, visiting Lisbon, Cádiz, Tangier, Málaga and more.
The ship’s maiden season is also highlighted by visits to Palermo in Sicily, Cagliari in Sardinia and Ajaccio in Corsica.
On April 9, 2025, the vessel is set to be christened during a special ceremony in Málaga that will include an open-air performance by Robbie Williams.
In late October, the Mein Schiff Relax is set to reposition to the Canary Islands for its first winter deployment.
Sailing from Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the vessel offers seven-night cruises to various islands in the region, including Portugal’s Madeira.
The itineraries also include visits to Arrecife de Lanzarote, Santa Cruz de La Palma and Funchal.
Following a short spring season in the Mediterranean, the Mein Schiff Relax debuts in Northern Europe ahead of the summer of 2026.
Sailing to Scandinavia, the Baltic and the Norwegian Fjords, the 4,000-guest ship offers four- to ten-night itineraries departing from the German port of Kiel.
Set to be followed by the Mein Schiff Flow in 2026, the Relax is the first in a new series of ships that are being built for TUI Cruises in Italy.
The new vessels put a focus on sustainability with dual-fuel engines that can be powered by LNG and MGO.
