Variety Cruises announced that it is relaunching its Mystery Cruise in 2025 with new destinations, following the success of its inaugural 2024 cruise in celebration of the company’s 75th anniversary.

The company said in a press release that the 2025 sailing will depart from Valletta, Malta, and conclude in Naples, Italy, onboard the Variety Voyager.

The cruise will be hosted by the company’s third-generation CEO, Filippos Venetopoulos.

“This is not just a cruise; it’s an immersive journey of discovery, where each day brings a new, breathtaking destination revealed only a few hours before arrival. No guidebooks, no plans, just pure, unscripted exploration,” said Venetopoulos.

According to the company, the cruise is designed to be an immersive experience with glimpses of cultures, flavors and traditions in Italy and Malta. Highlights include a secret island and hidden coves.

The cruise will depart on June 21, 2025. Rates start at $4,890 per person, though early bookers who reserve their space by March 31, 2025, will receive 20 percent off, according to the press release.

Rates include accommodation in double or twin cabins with private SH/WC and air conditioning.

Half-board has a buffet breakfast and one meal daily, focusing on local specialties, fun BBQ, a pizza party and a crew farewell night.

It also includes welcome and farewell cocktails, four professionally led excursions and two traditional meals ashore during excursions, among others.

Onboard highlights include the 360° Sun Deck, a premium bar and lounge, a spa and a fitness suite with gym equipment and sauna.

According to Variety, all proceeds from the trip will go towards Variety Cares, the company’s nonprofit foundation.

Variety built The Lamin Koto School in Kuntaur village, Gambia, which was funded by donations from past passengers and Variety Cruises. The school currently provides clean water and education to 100 students.
