After naming Gustavo Benetti as its new sales director for Latin America, Swan Hellenic is investing in the markets of the region.

“The company is really investing in our markets,” Benetti said during an industry event in Brazil earlier this month.

“Brazil is one of our most promising markets in terms of investment, but it’s not just in Brazil; we are also focusing on Latin America as a whole,” he continued.

“This investment is linked to marketing and establishing a physical presence here in Brazil. Currently, there is no other company in the region with such a focused presence,” Benetti added.

He also highlighted the company’s expeditions in the region.

“Later this year, we’ll return to Antarctica via the Caribbean, with itineraries passing through the Amazon, Belém, and the breathtaking Lençóis Maranhenses. No one can replicate this kind of experience,” Benetti noted.

One of the itineraries in the region sails from Barbados to Salvador onboard the SH Vega in mid-October 2025.

The 19-night expedition is highlighted by visits to UNESCO-listed heritage sites, such as Paramaribo, Iles du Salut and Rio Cajari’s ecological reserves.

The 152-guest ship is also set to enter the Amazon River for visits to Macapá, Aquiqui, the Breves Narrows and Garupá.

Benetti joined Swan Hellenic earlier this year, bringing 18 years of travel industry experience to the brand.

He previously spent over a decade as a business development manager at Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Brazil.

According to Benetti, beyond Latin America, Swan Hellenic is currently promoting a series of itineraries across the globe.

“Our slogan is ‘See What Others Don’t,’ so we are present on every continent. Beyond Antarctica, which is our main product, we sail to the Arctic, the North Pole, Africa, Europe and even the Caribbean,” he explained.
