The MSC Splendida is now scheduled to sail in Europe during the upcoming summer season.
Currently wrapping up a winter deployment in South America, the vessel will be deployed on a series of cruises in the Western Mediterranean.
Following a series of short cruises to Spain, France and Italy, the Splendida then moves to a series of regular seven-night cruise to the same countries.
Initially set to be offered by the MSC Magnifica, the itinerary includes visits to Civitavecchia, Livorno, Genoa, Marseille, Tarragon and Valencia.
With the exception of Livorno, passengers can start the cruise, which also includes a day at sea, from any of the ports of call.
Upon completing its summer deployment, the MSC Splendida is scheduled to continue to sail in the Western Mediterranean during the 2025-26 winter.
Starting in early November, the 2009-built ship offers a different itinerary that is highlighted by a stop in La Goulette, Tunisia. The seven-night cruise also includes visits to Genoa, Naples, Palermo, Marseille and Barcelona.
The MSC Splendida was initially slated to reposition to China in late 2024, becoming MSC’s second cruise ship in the Asian market.
Sailing alongside the MSC Bellissima, the 3,300-guest ship was expected to sail from local ports, including Tianjin and Shenzhen, on a year-round basis.
MSC initially revealed plans to redeploy the ship in mid-2024, announcing a new winter season in South America.
As part of its new deployment, the MSC Splendida is currently offering a series of seven-night cruises to Brazil, Urugua and Argentina.
Sailing from Santos, Itajaí and Buenos Aires, the itinerary also features a visit to Punta del Este, in addition to three days at sea.
MSC is keeping a year-round presence in Asia with the MSC Bellissima, which is scheduled to offer cruises from various homeports in Taiwan, Japan and China in 2025.
