The Carnival Venezia sailed from Port Canaveral in late February for a 14-night cruise to the Southern Caribbean and the Panama Canal.

Featuring visits to seven destinations in the region, the itinerary is part of Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Journeys program.

After departing from Central Florida, the Venezia is set to visit George Town in the Cayman Islands, Puerto Limón in Costa Rica and Cartagena de Indias in Colombia.

The itinerary includes a visit to Colón, from which guests can embark on excursions to the Panama Canal.

The 2019-built ship is also scheduled to sail to Oranjestad, Aruba; Willemstad, Curaçao; and Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos.

Upon returning to its winter homeport of Port Canaveral on Mar. 9, 2025, the Carnival Venezia will operate a series of seven-night cruises to the Eastern and Western Caribbean.

Following a summer program from New York City, the vessel is set to offer a similar 14-night cruise to the Southern Caribbean and Panama Canal in early 2026.

Sailing in mid-January, the cruise replaces the visit to Cartagena with a stop in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

The Carnival Venezia is also scheduled to offer a two-week cruise to the Southern Caribbean in November 2024.

The 14-night itinerary features visits to distinct destinations in the region, such as St. George’s in Grenada and Bridgetown in Barbados.

Other ports of call include St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; St. John’s, Antigua; Castries, St. Lucia; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; Tortola, British Virgin Islands; and San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Originally built for Costa Cruises, the Carnival Venezia was transferred to Carnival Cruise Line in mid-2021.

According to the company, the ship is themed after its namesake city, Venice, Italy, and offers guests a selection of new “Carnival Fun Italian Style” experiences and unique dining and beverage concepts.

In addition to the Carnival Venezia, the concept also includes the Carnival Firenze, which sails from Long Beach.
