Seabourn has launched the “Authors at Sea” program on select sailings.

The enrichment program will feature best-selling authors, historians and biographers onboard, as well as live events and hands-on workshops for aspiring authors.

In a press release, the company said it will welcome onboard the literary luminaries between March and December.

“Onboard entertainment and enrichment are so important to the Seabourn experience, and our ‘Authors at Sea’ program brings together celebrated writers to connect with guests in a meaningful way through engaging conversations and interactive sessions,” said Handre Potgieter, Seabourn’s director of entertainment and enrichment.

“We are dedicated to creating extraordinary experiences and memorable moments at sea, and this new program was designed to further inspire and enrich our guests when they sail on Seabourn,” added Potgieter.

The program will allow guests to interact with the authors during talks, meals and shore adventures.

Seabourn’s current line-up of guest authors includes:

• Debbie Macomber, offering a writing workshop for aspiring authors and sailing from April 27 to May 16, 2025 on the Seabourn Quest from Yokohama to Vancouver
• Lady Sandra Howard, sailing May 10 to May 18, 2025 from Lisbon to Civitavecchia (Rome)
• Lord Jeffrey Archer, sailing July 1 to July 11, 2025 on the Seabourn Ovation for a roundtrip through Barcelona
• Robert K Wittman, sailing May 17 to May 30, 2025 on the Seabourn Sojourn from Barcelona to Dover; Aug. 30 to Sept. 9, 2025 on the Seabourn Ovation from Monte Carlo to Barcelona; and April 24 to May 15, 2026, on the Seabourn Sojourn from Tokyo to Vancouver.
• Ann Cleeves, offering two hands-on workshops and sailing from Dec. 20, 2025, to Jan. 4, 2026, on the Seabourn Quest from Sydney to Auckland; and May 30 to June 6, 2026, on the Seabourn Ovation from Dover to Reykjavik, and
• Zelda La Grange, sailing April 27 to May 9, 2026, on the Seabourn Quest.
