Adora Cruises announced today that it will offer longer cruises to Japan’s Hokkaido region during the summer of 2025.

According to a press release, the Adora Magic City and the Adora Mediterranea are scheduled to offer special longer itineraries this year.

“Adora Cruises is committed to creating a cruise experience that ‘better understands Chinese travelers,’ continuously innovating and designing cruise routes and shore excursions loved by Chinese guests,” the company stated.

The longer cruises “provide families with more diverse summer vacation options,” Adora continued, noting that the new cruises offer a unique charm and allow guests to explore the cultural and natural beauty of the destinations.

Sailing from Shanghai, the Adora Magic City will offer an eight-night cruise to Japan starting on July 24, 2025.

Marking the first time Adora visits Hokkaido, the “Midsummer North Coast” itinerary includes visits to Maizuru, Niigata and Hakodate as well as Jeju in South Korea.

According to the company, the itinerary includes a variety of shore excursions, with a focus on natural landscapes, cultural history and family fun.

The Adora Mediterranea sails from Tianjin for the “Summer Leisure Hokkaido” itinerary on August 7, 2025.

In addition to a three-day visit to Otaru, the 11-night cruise features visits to Fukuoka, Hakodate and Nagasaki.

Adora said that the longer stay in Otaru allows guests to further explore the beauty of the seaside town known as the “Romantic City.”

Both cruises are now available for bookings via Adora’s website and local travel agencies, the company said.

In addition to the Adora Magic City and the Adora Mediterranea, Adora is set to welcome a third cruise ship to its fleet by the end of 2026.

Currently under construction in Shanghai, the Adora Flora City will offer international cruises departing from Nansha, Guangzhou.
