Carnival Cruise Line hosted its largest vow renewal at sea this Valentine’s Day, with ceremonies held across all 27 ships.

In Australia, the celebrations were virtually officiated by Chief Fun Officer Shaquille O’Neal.

Couples aboard the Carnival Splendor took part during a four-night Moreton Island cruise from Sydney, while guests on the Carnival Luminosa joined the ceremony during a seven-night South Pacific cruise from Brisbane. The event included a vow renewal ceremony, a “kiss cam” feature, and a reception with a champagne toast, cake-cutting and music.

“You can absolutely feel the love onboard Carnival ships, especially on Valentine’s Day. So many of our guests meet, get engaged and even get married onboard our ships, and our vow renewal ceremony is a wonderful occasion to help couples celebrate their love when they sail with Carnival,” said Kara Glamore, vice president, Carnival Cruise Line Australia.

Carnival offers weddings, vow renewals and other romantic ceremonies at sea and in scenic destinations through its Weddings by Carnival program. In the past year, the company hosted 1,220 ceremonies. Guests can choose from various packages and itineraries for engagements, weddings, honeymoons, or vow renewals.
